I went to lunch/dinner at work last night walked into subway got food came out no start. I had a new cps that I verified good on this truck kwhen I bought it from parts house) in the glove box. Switched to backup idm checked all the maxi fuses. Pcm?

Mind you it was 430 am when I got to it after work.

 

The parts house CPS might have gone bad in the mean time. Buy a Ford or IH CPS, otherwise start inspecting the wiring to the CPS.
Do you get a WTS light?

 

Wts is good and normal operation

With the cps just sitting in the glove box I couldn't see it going out. I could grab one off of my parts truck and see if that fixes it. I kinda scanned the cps wires the connection looks solid and clean.

 

It's just weird that it ran great all day. Not even a stumble out of it. I will check the cps wires all the way up. I have to say I have already repaired the fuel bowl harness and deleted the fuel heater rerouted the harness so it does not rub the fuel bowl

 

Try unplugging ICP (Front corner drivers side head, 3 wires) and see what happens.

No, not until you leave the key on for an extended time period. Then it will come on.

What scanner do I need to get

 

A good one. Cheapo parts store scanners won't work.
AE, SnapOn MT2500, etc.


There is also Torque Pro, but its not for the faint of heart.

 

Check your IPR. If the nut fell off, the solenoid will too. Also check the IPR connector/harness. The split loom hides damage to the wires from years of oil and fuel leaks that eat away the insulation and results in a short.

If the CEL is on KOEO , is it faint ? If so you need a PCM . Is the truck chipped ?
