I have a 2004 so I don't think the STC fitting applies to my year...believe it was 2005 +.....joetech....the grommets you speak of....where do they go?
I think I would go as far as replacing the glow plugs since they are 12.00 a piece. Now I am not sure how it works, machine shops will disassemble the heads and deck them or do I disassemble them and take them apart?
The grommets go between the bolts and the top of valve cover and the bolts. They hold tension on the valve cover gasket.
The valve grind set is the ford name for a headgasket set. It comes with head gaskets and bolts rocker box gaskets injector and glow plug seals misc other seals and gaskets like turbo drain tube fuel filter housing egr seals and gaskets turbo mounting bolts. All you need to buy to change every gasket would be an intake set and v/c gaskets. I bought a/m v/c gaskets because they came with new grommets.
Hey brother, do you remember what aftermarket valve cover gaskets you bought that came with the grommets?
