I got into my truck this morning and noticed a drip of fluid on my floor mat, right below the brake pedal. It looks like fluid is seeping out from a small black hose that attaches to the pedal assembly. It isn't coming from the main cylinder, just an attached plastic part with a hose running up into the dash somewhere.
Any ideas what this part is? I don't have any time to take the truck to the dealership until next week. But the idea of possibly loosing my brakes isn't very fun either.
Well, Horizon Ford (Parts Guy Ed) is a great dealership. Decided to stop there during my lunch break. The service guy came out, looked at the brake pedal assembly and spent a good ten minutes going over the assembly drawings trying to troubleshoot the issue. The black hose I referenced above is for the pedal height adjustment, so it isn't the part leaking. The rest of the brake system looks fine.
No problem found, but now I need to trace the problem elsewhere.
