Hi all, brake warning light came on. I checked and the fluid was very low. I pulled all four tires and checked the pads and they're all fine so no idea why the fluid was low. While i had the tires off i had my wife push on the brake pedal and I looked around for any drips or leaks and found non. I filled it with the dot 3 i had on the shelf (got it about half way to the max line and it's still on. I'm about to drive into town to pick up some more brake fluid and fill it up but wondering what else would make the brake warning light come on? (the ABS light isn't on)
I looked online and tried the tapping the resevour trick and unplugging and replugging in the sensor at the resevour did nothing. Light won't turn off? Any ideas?
Haha, mine occasionally comes on when I hit a big enough bump. I have no cable resistance on the pedal due to a snapped cable, so sometimes a bump makes it fall a bit and turn the light on.
I'm gonna wait until it happens while my wife is driving, then tell her she broke it, so I have to buy new parts...
