well, when i bought my truck it didnt come with trim or anything around the windshield, and it looks horrible. i found a nice polished aluminum set at the junkyard for 20 bucks, but i couldnt figure out how to get it off?also, how do u reinstall it? should there be sume putty or sealant under the trim before i put it on?

I believe they make a tool specifically for the removal of this trim. I hope one of the members here will chime in that has experience removing it. I would also be interested in how to do this, because I am going to do a lot of the trim removal on my truck when I get it prepped for its new paint job.
Get the moulding and metal clips out of a 1990's vintage truck.
The original clips were plastic 1980-1986 and break.
As for removing the moulding, you can use a flat screwdriver, and work on the outside edge. Practice on a truck with damaged moulding in the yard if you want to get a feel on how it comes off... snaps into place.
