Problem with Sterling Diff

Gotta a M8 with a 02 F250 4WD with about 45K miles on it. The truck has done no towing and really no hard work at all. It developed a consistent clunk, clunk, clunk in the diff when on full lock right at slow speeds. The right lock has gotten worse and now it does it full left lock as well. Nothing in a straight line. I dont think I read anything about these diffs going bad at such a young age. Any ideas ??

Almost sounds like a limited slip that needs more friction modifier. Did he change the fluid and not add enough possibly?

What concerns me is once you get the friction modifier set, you good to go and I'm guessing you never been in the pumkin because of the low miles, yes???? If not theres a possibility a spider gear that lost some teeth or moving towards that equation. Roland educated me a while back its a three spider gear setup. Let us know what you find, been in my Expy rear twice....

He's going to take it to the shop. It does look like something internally has given up. I just cant understand why. And Chris, the injectors are waiting patiently for my long block to arrive from the States. Im in the process of obtaining all the bits for my build why the Aussie dollar is doing so good..
