Do I use an OBD I code reader for a 1993 F-250 with a 7.3 diesel and 4 speed auto trans?

Although I'm not an auto tranny guy, I believe that is the reader you need to read the codes from that tranny.

An OBD I reader is the one you need any reader that will read the OBD I codes will work. However some readers will require an adapter to work.

The plug is located on the drivers side fender near the fire wall.
