That's a nice start. I have gotten that far myself. I would say you have a lot more experience than I do though. I am looking forward to the conclusion to the thread. Also, thanks for the trouble of posting. I am going to try to get mine back together over the next few days. Thanks again.

Lots of the stuff you have on your website doesn't transition well enough for me to be able to follow it all that well, as well as the descriptions don't really match the pictures.
As a positive suggestion, I would look into circling things on the pictures with descriptions to show what you're talking about. One example is one of the first few pictures shows how you back off or loosen one of the nuts on the transmission shifter arm I believe. If you were to circle which nut to back off in the picture (because your description isn't clear), it would help the overall clarity of your message.
Just a few suggestions from me after reading through it. I wanted to constructively criticise it so you understand it from some one else's perspective.
Again, please take what I say with a grain of salt because I'm only trying to help.
Otherwise, I think you've got a brilliant grasp on C6 transmissions, and I too am looking forward to reading more on your posts because I recently purchased a C6 that needs a rebuild.
Great work so far
so is there anyway to lock the transmisson into park ? because I'm getting sick of the truck rolling down the drive after I shut the door and forget to double check it. my neighbors thankyou
Classic
Yep a lot of the time that is external linkage and looseness, Rather common, for a ol Ford rign
Okay
Your post on your website looks good, but the only thing I can suggest is to somehow make it rookie-proof.

If your website is to be taken seriously, I wouldn't take JUST my opinions, but others opinions as well on how to improve your descriptions and over-all clarity of your message.
You're doing a great job so far, keep it up!
Backwood, I just read through your rebuilt thread on your website again, and it's truly amazing.
You did a fantastic job of taking some advice and taking lots of pictures and going a bit slower. Very nicely done!

I like how you took everyone very slowly back through the rebuild process and have shown each little step along the way. It's a VERY BIG improvement to your teardown portion of the thread.
That being said, keep up the pace (nice n' slow) and keep on truckin'! Hopefully that tranny turns out as good as it looks so far!

almost forgot the year...moron... its a 76 150 ranger xlt
I had the same problem with the Pumpkin's tranny., it would randomly pop out of park. On investigation, the cause in this case was wear in the external linkage, more exactly, the tranny shift arm and the small stud that connects the arm to the shift rod that goes up to the column.
In the picture, the hole in the shift arm that the stud goes in is wallowed out and the stud itself is pretty worn
