Let us know if you re-solder and how it works. I'd like to know how to adjust the parking brake as well. Mine goes almost all the way before locking the rear tires. I know I need to push it further when my daughter says "uh, daddy, we're rolling backwards". lol

on the late 80's early 90's trucks, the parking brake was adjusted with a mechanism in the cable connection under the driver side seat along the frame.
it is at the point where the front cable meets the rear cables.
BUT.
since we are talking about trucks that are over 20 years old, the adjuster most likely is rusted solid and will no longer work.
