Greetings, just a quick dumb question. My daughter has a 2004 F150 4.6. The other day some POS crook broken into the truck and stole her radio. Anyway, I was just glad they didn't take the whole truck. Anyway, I have her using the "Club" until I settle on some anti-theft device. I noticed that when mounting the club to the steering wheel the wheel never got into a "Locked" position. I'm I missing something here or is something broken. Now the steering wheel and column were not tampered with during the break in.
Mine doesn't lock either, They use other Anti-theft measures nowadays and I guess that locking steering wheels aren't needed anymore Idk, but steering sounds normal to me. Sucks her radio got stolen though.
07 F150 with Pats - no steering wheel locking. 94 Tbird & 97 F150 - both without Pats - both steering wheels lock. Sure looks like Ford thinks other things take the place of steering wheel locking.
I have a '04 F-150 4.6L, and occasionally I go to start it up and have to pull on the steering wheel before I can turn the key to start it. Is this the kind of steering wheel lock y'all are talking about? I just read a conversation on the NextDoor app where a cop said the Club's really do prevent theft. Is this the best one to get? Going googling now.
Was just talking with auto parts store about the Club 3000 Yellow Twin Hooks model/36.99. When asked why the Original Club Yellow model / single hook each end was more expensive at 51.99, he thought the single hook each end was better at preventing steering wheel movement. ??
