To-do list
Hey everyone. I just bought an 06 F-150 5.4L 4x4 with 185k miles on it. What are the first things I should do to get off the right foot to keep the truck going and limit issues down the road? I know the oil was changed 1500 miles ago but that is it as far as service history. Thanks in advance.

Lets hope the plugs were changed to sp546 . Start using some kind of crankcase cleaner to get that sludge out of there. Use a very good cleaning oil -change under 5k . Clean throttle body . make sure antifreeze has been changed , best to flush then flush with cheap distilled water from walmart . I mix my own with the distilled water . I like my hoses changed at your miles . Perhaps a new coolant cap .
Without a history I can't advise more with out a symptom. Run some techron after changing fuel filter - inspect your fpdm on rear axle .
