ive got an elec cutout on my 68 mustang fastback and i love it. i have thought using the EBPV as a cutout and use a mechanical linkage (such as a choke cable) to control it from the cab

Yup, those are pics of my truck, I did that cut out a couple of years ago, when I did the down pipe. Took pictures then and just got around to sharing now.
OK, when do you use it? Pulling a long steep grade to keep EGT's down or to **** the wife off, LOL? My wife wears ear plugs and complains. I just tell her that the 2012's are out and they are alot quieter, hint, hint, LOL !! Then she says that this pickup is just fine.
I don't have the electric solenoid option so just use it when towing heavy (like the 5er). I have used it when bored and just want to listen to the turbo sing it really comes to life. I just bought it to kinda play with and compare noise and power differences, for $40 bucks
Wife just puts ear buds in and listens to tunes or a book when traveling.A new truck isn't in my future any time soon unless I win the lottery, but oh ya, ya got to by tickets to get that chance.

It's basically a quick and easy straight pipe option. Remove the plate and you have a straight pipe, install the plate and you're back to the regular exhaust. Common on older hot rods.
