It looks like I am going to be pulling head off passenger side do I need to remove the valley pan and if so how does it come off at the back cause wen I pulled my blown motor apart I got the heads off with out takeing the valley pan off and when I tryed to get it off at the back I could not get it without destrying it and they are alittle pricey

 

There is a plug in the back that holds it down and also serves as the drain for the pan. IIRC it takes an allen head.

Thanks guys the allen head on my outher eng must have been rusted out cause I could not get it apart

 

Mine was in there purddy good, i think i found an allen that fit tight and taped it in there with ye' lil' deadblow hammer

 

Like a 5 pounder LOL

 

No just a 3lb didn't want to crack anything expensive!
