The CB I have will slip into the storage slot on the driver's side of the console (It would also fit into the storage slot on the passenger side of the console.)
To prevent the CB from scratching the plastic of the console, I used a rubber-like, non-slip shelf product more often used in rvs under plates, etc. in cabinets so the plates don't slide around.
The rubber-like material should create a protective shield between the CB--on either side and the bottom where it touches--and the console. I would prefer not to damage the side surface of the console.
I think and hope this simple solution will work. Sorry I don't have a picture.

Reason: to achieve clarity
I would still like to find an elegant method to replace the factory AM/FM with a suitable antenna because the AM/FM is useless to me.
Many many moons ago Dodge had a factory optioned AM/FM cassette with a built in CB. The radio used an adapter between the regular antenna and the radio. This allowed the CB to work with the factory antenna. Was pretty cool for the day.
Eventually put one in my 1978 W100 Power Wagon, my first pick up
