See, the mistake you are making is that the wheels aren't centered in the tires. There must be two, probably three inches there. As long as you don't go over a bump or turn the steering wheel more than a couple of degrees you will be fine. Pull the trigger, mount them up and get this party started.
It's getting a 10" BDS lift, just screwing around taking some pics to play around with on photochop. Guy on another board said he did get his 38s mounted on stock, just couldnt steer lol. So yeah they will technically fit, it will just have to sit there or maybe be used for drag racing only? lol
Few people were suggesting de-badgeing and getting rid of the chrome strip down the side. I usually dont like that sort of look but I think it may look good on this truck. Also I hear keystone has the harley headlights for $60 a side and they are descent enough quality. I will probably be picking those up soon.
I actually am running 38"x13 Michelin XML's on 16x8 Centerlines. Cut the back side of the front fender and a bit off of the back side of the front bumper. Going to add Bushwacker Cutouts that just came in the mail yesterday! It's my wife's ride and with three kids under 5, I wanted to keep the hight down. I love the no lift, big tire look! I think there are pictures in my profile.
i know a guy with 8" lift on 38 x 15.5 and they dont rub. so how would 38.5 with a 10 inch lift rub?
Can you get me some pics of the truck? If I could go with 8 and clear properly I will go that route most likely. From what I was seeing 8 was cutting it close and a lil questionable. Also can you find out the backspacing on their wheels to if you can?
Heres a 10" lift with 38.5X14.50X20. I think the big wheels are throwing off the look, I expect to see a lot of rubber on the sidewall of a big tire truck.
