Hello, I have a 2001 F350 srw 2wd and a 1999 F250 2wd that a both have the same problem. both have around 125,000 miles
When your driving down the highway and hit a decent bump the truck will start to wander off to one side or the other. I have gotten about 80 difrent answers from mechanics including tie rods, pitman arm, wheel barings, ball joints, and shocks. today A guy at work was telling me to check the stering nuckle (not sure if thats the right name, its the part that conects the top of the gear box to the stering collum)
I'm just trying to get some ideas where to start instead of jsut throwing parts at them
Get the truck up on a lift, and shake down the front suspension. See what is loose, and what needs replaced. I had a similar situation and I found mine to be axle u-joints.
