Performance after Regen

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else notice a difference in performance after a regen? Like I said, maybe I am imagining it, but the throttle response seems crisper and a little quicker.
Either way, I really like this truck and its been about 2 weeks since the flash and everything is running great.

I would really like the Cleaning Exhaust Filter Message back to stay on the display until the regeneration is completed.

On 2 of my first 3 regens on my 2011 6.7, you guessed it, they started right when I was about to arrive at a destination.

On my 6.4, I would always if all possible drive the regeneration to completion to insure the filter was being kept in optimal shape.

I have twice ended the regeration on the 6.7 within minutes of it starting by shutting the truck down. In both instances, I did not notice the regeneration starting over again after starting the truck back up.

According to theory, regen actually cleans the exhaust filter, removing soot, thus allowing the exhaust to flow more freely. This should free up a few horsepower since there is less back pressure and the turbo can spool up quicker.

I really have never paid attention to that effect, but will 'play' right after my next regen.

Regen Cycle

Same here.

It sure would be nice if I were able to manually force a regen within 50 miles of an automated cycle. Then I would at least have a chance to eliminate the cycles that start just before I pull into my driveway. Since the entire process is software driven so it would not be much trouble for FOMOCO to also add a "Catylist Cleaning in Process" as well as a "Catylist Cleaning Cycle Completed" message.

Come on Ford, get are your programmers writing some code.

Is there a new flash I don't know about other than the 400/800?

Thanks, I'm due for my first oil change. I'll make sure the dealer does this while I'm in there. Is there a link on the Ford website that shows or announces the newest updates?

Why does it matter whether the regen starts when you're close to home or not? You can interrupt it and it will pick back up where it left off the next time you start the truck. It's not an invasive regen process.

...exactly...but prior owners of the 6.4 have the "drive until" message burned into their brains. It is a tough habit to break
