transmission line question
Posted this in the Excursion area but no one has had input, thought i would try here since F-250 might be similar:
Today wife called and said 2005 5.4L Excursion had red fluid under it and going down the driveway. So I came home to see a line of fluid starting on our street and going into driveway.
It appears one of the rubber hoses that connects to radiator cooler unit was blown off. Strange part is the clamp is 1/3 the way up the hose. The truck has over 50k miles so would of thought it would of blown by now if that way from factory or could the pressure cause the clamp to blow up that far? Ford dealer is looking it incase something else is wrong, but I thought I would ask for opinions on here. And no one has worked on it except me changing oil.... I see some safety bulletins talking about clamps not installed properly from factory too for other type of ford vehicles. thx!
