Water seperator light

The water seperator light came on so I drained it and it did not stop after about ten minutes (about 2 gallons). I turned it off and drained again the next morning for about 3 minutes then it stopped. Later that day it came back on so I drained a little and it appeared to be just fuel. I took it to the dealer and they said I got bad fuel and they cleaned and reset everything. On my way home it comes back on. Anybody have any suggestions?

could be a possible bad sensor.

When you said they cleaned everything..did they replace the fuel filters?

What about taking the cover off of the fuel water separator and seeing if it is all gunked up?

Keep your reciept from the fillup place as you may end up having a claim if you can get it to stop throwing water.

Also try a fuel conditioner too.

They said it was slightly gunked up. The fuel filters have about 300 miles on them. I think you are on the right track with the sensor. I am going to run an entire tank of new fuel before I change it.

That sensor is easy to remove. I'd suggest doing that.
