The water seperator light came on so I drained it and it did not stop after about ten minutes (about 2 gallons). I turned it off and drained again the next morning for about 3 minutes then it stopped. Later that day it came back on so I drained a little and it appeared to be just fuel. I took it to the dealer and they said I got bad fuel and they cleaned and reset everything. On my way home it comes back on. Anybody have any suggestions?
They said it was slightly gunked up. The fuel filters have about 300 miles on them. I think you are on the right track with the sensor. I am going to run an entire tank of new fuel before I change it.
There was probaly gunk on the sensor and they cleaned up for you...I have found that happen to me..twice. first time I replaced the sensor second time I pulled the sensor and cleaned it....both times worked
