I'm looking for a dash pad and some trim moulding....Anyone have any resources in these areas?

1970/72 F100/350: There are three different types of upper side mouldings...it depends on which model the truck is.

Customs (optional)/Sport Customs have 1 1/2" wide upper mouldings. Rangers, Ranger XLT's have 3 5/8" wide upper side mouldings.

The Ranger mouldings have black painted lines, XLT's have wood grained inserts (decals).

The ribbed lower mouldings and the wheel opening mouldings are the same for all. All these mouldings have been reproduced by Dennis Carpenter (800-476-9653-order a free catalog).

Carpenter is located in NC Another source much closer to you is Classic Auto Parts (formerly Obsolete Ford Parts Co.) located in OKC

Tailgate Finish Panels: Customs (optional)/Sport Customs have an aluminum panel with FORD letters, mounts over the embossed letters of the tailgate.

Ranger/Ranger XLT's have a much larger panel, covers up the entire center section of the tailgate. The Ranger's is painted black, XLT's is wood grained.

AFAIK, no one reproduces a padded dash for 1967/72's. justdashes.com (located in Van Nuys CA) repairs padded dashes, reproduces some. But their prices ain't cheap! Figure...at least...5 bills EZ.

The last padded dash I had redone by Just Dashes was for a 1968 Galaxie XL: 7 bills!

It's OK if peeps see a listing advertised (usually on craiglest or fleabay), then post a link...as long as they specify the vehicle/part isn't theirs.

FTE has a classified section, and forums where parts can be sold and for parts wanted. Peeps can ask for parts in threads, but can't sell 'em in threads.

 

Here's a sample of the two types of lower door mouldings:

C7TZ-8120878-A .. Lower Door Moulding-3 paint stripes / R/L is the same // 1967 Ranger from serial number F90,001 / 1968/69 Ranger / 1970/72 Custom/Sport Custom.

DOTZ-1020878-A .. Lower Door Moulding-1 paint stripe / R/L is the same / 1970/72 Ranger/Ranger XLT.

According to DC's 1967/79 truck repro parts catalog (page 75), only black & tan padded dashes are available for 1967/72's. The price is $370.00 each.

But, these 1967/72 dashes have 1973/79 F500/750 part numbers, are listed in the FORD truck parts catalogs for 1967/79 F500/750's. Not listed for 1967/72 F100/350's.

Carpenter's repro padded dashes are made by Just Dashes in Van Nuys CA.
