I have an 04 350 CC purchased about a year ago and had similar issues. I had the steering stabilizer replaced and that helped a little. Took it in to the dealership and was told I needed ball joints replaced. Took it to a steering & suspension shop and confirmed the ball joints needed to be replaced and at the same time I ask the shop owner to check the entire front end and all he came up with was that the ball joints needed to be replaced. It helped a great deal with the issue. Before I bought the truck one of the recurring complaints was that the steering was an issue. Most people recommended a dual steering stabilizer kit. If everything checks out, that may be something to look into. Also, if you are running larger than stock tires, that could be contributing to the problem.(?)

This is a copy and paste from my dvd service manual for the track bar but it only shows it for a 450 550 it doesnt say anything about a track bar for on a 350

Load the front suspension with the vehicle weight.
Position a jack stand under both sides of the front axle assembly.
Lower the vehicle until the front axle is supporting the vehicle weight.

Remove the track bar bracket nut and bolt and disconnect the track bar.
Discard the nut and bolt.
NOTE: First loosen the nut, then use the hex holding feature to prevent the track bar ball joint from turning while removing the nut.

Remove and discard the track bar ball joint nut.
NOTE: It may be necessary to rotate the track bar forward before installing the special tool.

Using the special tool, disconnect the track bar from the ball joint and remove the track bar.

Installation

CAUTION: Tighten the track bar bracket bolt with the suspension at curb height.

Position the track bar and install the bracket nut and bolt. Do not tighten the nut at this time.
CAUTION: Use the hex holding feature to prevent the track bar ball joint from turning while installing the nut, tighten the nut until snug. Final tighten the nut with the suspension at curb height.

Position the track bar onto the ball joint and install the nut. Do not tighten the nut at this time.
With the vehicle weight still supported by the jack stands, tighten the track bar ball joint nut to 250 Nm (184 lb-ft).
With the vehicle weight still supported by the jack stands, tighten the track bar bracket nut to 550 Nm (406 lb-ft).

Not sure if this helps but my old truck 94 f350 w7.3 idi was giving me a strange steering issue the wheel would lock tight in my hands at low low speeds(5 and below mph) not all the time but every now and again, put on steering stabilizer, no improvement, new ball joints, king pins, and center link, no improvement then found u joint that would lock up tight(found by accident messing around under truck) after that was replaced no more issues, I would look there first since it can cause funny steering issues

Track bar bracket to frame is exactly what it says it is, and yes it is on the drivers side. Track bar to track bar bracket bolt is also on the drivers side, its where the track bar itself bolts to the bracket I just mentioned. Track bar to axle nut is the other end of the track bar where it connects to the axle on the passenger side.

Hey this may be a dumb question but I just dont know, how do you grease the front axle U joints, is it as simple as it sounds, iv never done it before. I have an 05 with 48k miles on it. Is there anything else that needs greasing? Thanks for the help...btw i had the same problem as the OP I took it to 4wheel parts they replaced the track bar and put a daul stabilizer on it and it went away.

Turn tires 1 way or the other, spin joint till you see grease fitting, put a couple pumps in.
