Make sure your track bar is tightened enough. Where it bolts to the bracket on the frame I believe it has to be 409 lb ft.
i did a search online and came up with these specs but not sure
Track bar bracket to frame ....................129 ft lb
( drivers side ? )
Track bar to track bar bracket bolt........... 406 ft lb
( passanger side ? )
Track bar to axle nut.............................. 185 ft lb
( ??? )
Can anyone help me out with this ?
Thanks
I have an 04 350 CC purchased about a year ago and had similar issues. I had the steering stabilizer replaced and that helped a little. Took it in to the dealership and was told I needed ball joints replaced. Took it to a steering & suspension shop and confirmed the ball joints needed to be replaced and at the same time I ask the shop owner to check the entire front end and all he came up with was that the ball joints needed to be replaced. It helped a great deal with the issue. Before I bought the truck one of the recurring complaints was that the steering was an issue. Most people recommended a dual steering stabilizer kit. If everything checks out, that may be something to look into. Also, if you are running larger than stock tires, that could be contributing to the problem.(?)

With the vehicle weight still supported by the jack stands, tighten the track bar bracket nut to 550 Nm (406 lb-ft).
Not sure if this helps but my old truck 94 f350 w7.3 idi was giving me a strange steering issue the wheel would lock tight in my hands at low low speeds(5 and below mph) not all the time but every now and again, put on steering stabilizer, no improvement, new ball joints, king pins, and center link, no improvement then found u joint that would lock up tight(found by accident messing around under truck) after that was replaced no more issues, I would look there first since it can cause funny steering issues

Track bar bracket to frame is exactly what it says it is, and yes it is on the drivers side. Track bar to track bar bracket bolt is also on the drivers side, its where the track bar itself bolts to the bracket I just mentioned. Track bar to axle nut is the other end of the track bar where it connects to the axle on the passenger side.

Hey this may be a dumb question but I just dont know, how do you grease the front axle U joints, is it as simple as it sounds, iv never done it before. I have an 05 with 48k miles on it. Is there anything else that needs greasing? Thanks for the help...btw i had the same problem as the OP I took it to 4wheel parts they replaced the track bar and put a daul stabilizer on it and it went away.
