What engine do you have? What RPM do you turn at freeway speeds? 240 seems a little high for light cruising, but I don't know for sure. Usually oil runs in the 180-210F range. 250-300 when hot rodding. But there are so many factors.

Sorry about the lack of info, late night. 1990 f 150 with 302 with aod.
I have aftermarket gauges. I know that I have very tall gearing, so the rpms are low. I can't even get into overdrive. I bought the truck used, so don't know the history of the motor. The oil pressure seems low to me.
