Stock shocks are fine because the bottom shock mount is on top of the spring, so it doesn't change when you install the mini spring pack.
Install of the mini pack is pretty straight forward, you don't even need to remove the springs. Just drop the axle one side at a time, clamp your springs, remove the stock spring pin (bolt), put the mini pack under the spring and put the new spring pin through the leaf spring and mini pack. Then install your new longer u-bolts and bolt the axle up again.

im a believer that Zone Off Roads level mini pack is the best on the market. they give you a new adjustible tract bar which is the only way you should go i might add plus they have done tons of design and research to make this kit. its not some cheap ebay kit some spring shop cut leafs and some chinese cam bolts that i wouldnt use on a riding tractor

I've run the Icon Vehicle Dynamics mini spring pack for a few years now with no problems. Stock shocks. For that little lift, you don't need a new / adjustable trac bar.
It's not a technically difficult process, just a little time - consuming.
On mine, I jacked up the front with two heavy duty jacks, then put jack stands under the front frame. Then I unbolted the axle u-bolts, clamped the existing spring stack together, and lowered the front axle enough with the floor jacks to insert the mini spring pack and the jacked it back up snug, and installed the new longer u-bolts.
If I were to do it again, I'd do it like BigPigDaddy describes and do one side at at time. When I completely undid both sides and lowere the axle, it shifted slightly and made it difficult to re-align the pin in the spring pack. That front axle is HEAVY and hard to maneuver.

So, my question is I went ahead and bought shocks for the 2.5 inch lift and now I'm realizing that they are not needed as BigPigDaddy explained above. Can I still use the Rancho RS5264 shock on a 2000 F250 4x4 front-end with a mini pack that does not need 2.5" lift shocks. or do I need to exchange for RS5267? Thanks!
