Hi guys, wanted to know how the new 2012 F550 diesel compares to the 7.3psd F550 models. What I am asking is the new F550 more heavy duty than the early models? The reason is that on fords website the new F550 diesel 4x2 will tow 16,000lbs. ok. I saw a figure on a F550 7.3 4x2 same truck, that tows 18,000lbs. So is the new truck really that much more advanced in heavy duty. I'm looking to get one and just want to look at all the facts. You guys let me know what you think, I could be wrong and these numbers could be wrong. I just want to know is newer always better? Thanks

 

What engine was in the new f-550 you were looking at cause you can get gas engine in it?
