Are all Ford & Mercury transponder keys the same? I bought some off fleabay. One worked ok on My 03 F150. Tried 2 on My dad's 02 Sable & neither worked. Mercury Use a different chip?
The keys are the same.

Tylus and I have both posted the steps.
I programmed them like the owners manual says & the same way I did with My truck. After searching some more it seems there are A,B,C,D,E chips. The F150 has the C chip & the Sable has the E chip.
