Edge Juice

I bought a 05 f-250 with the 6.0 and it has an edge juice with attitude but the screen on the attitude doesnt work, i know there about 230 bucks but i was wondering if there was a dummy proof way to just put the up and down button to pick which level you want it on, like if you plug it in and scroll up like 5 times is that on number one and then 5 down arrows on the number 5 setting, can anyone walk me threw this that has one cause my screen doesnt work and i want to put it on the level 2 , thanks

Andy

I'd chuck the whole thing out the window. Because you will have a new tranny bill soon.

I ran an Edge platinum. Year later, new tranny!

Edge Juice is bad Ju-Ju for the 6.0 and torqueshift. Run at own risk and start saving mucho dinero.

Well will probaly catch hell for this but the hypertech max energy that i have been using for two years has been problem free, shifts are firm but not to hard , and you can tow in any setting but i don't . And then theres the SCT that is the **** everybody swears by them. And you can get custom tunes for the SCT. JMHO

I've ran the Banks and replaced the head gaskets three times, and the transmission once all before 85,000 miles, ripped it out after replacing the transmission and put in the Edge and have 235,000 miles now with no major issues. I hear alot of good things about the SCT tuner, but haven't had any reasons to change. As far as trying to change levels with out the screen not working, I would hate to say you are "SOL" if you cant tell any difference in power as you press the up arrow I'd guess it's not the screen. If it is working 0=stock, 1=fuel milage, 2= tow, 3= drive, 4= race, and 5= go get some tires and hope nothing breaks on the way(maybe wave at some 6.4L's)

I know I have heard a lot of bad problems with the Edge tuner installed on our 6.0's but I have had one on my 2006 since the truck was new (I bought it with 40,000 miles on the clock). No problems with it at all. I do not beat on the truck or use it past the #3 setting. I do tow several different trailers nothing heavier than 12,000 pounds. but it seems fine, I have 130,000 on it now. This doesn't mean I doubt the problems people have had with this unit, I am just very careful because I have heard the horror stories.

I have a display from a juice platinum I might sell. The dealer took it out when Ford paid 50% of the head gasket bill. Debating what to do with the system right now.

agreed. so many people just regurgitate what theyve read/heard. mine has been on my truck 50k miles. i have had to do head gaskets but my tranny is fine. i mostly keep it on #3 and will occasionally put it on #4 (race) but dont leave it there. i tow regularly and dont beat on my truck. i have no plans to remove the edge juice with attitude!

That is what an informational forum is for. So as not to repeat costly mistakes. If 8 out of 10 people have a problem with a product, two of them are happy with it. However which side of the fence are you going to put your money on. Life is all about playing the odds and you stack them more in your favor by being informed rather than a statistic.

Not in the lower settings. Crank it up and it'll eat your tranny. Ever notice the 2-3 shift flare you get when you turn it up and hammer down?
