My toy truck has stage 2's a 17 degree mod hpop a d66 and it's holding 2600 psi on the icp and at a 42% ipr duty cycle what does that mean??? How much would I benefit from getting my chip reburnt so my icp raises to 3200 psi??
duty cycle: the amount of "on time" over of the measurement interval, usually expressed as a percentage. 42% means the regulator is ON almost half of what it is capable of.
Your ICP won't raise the oil pressure, the IPR does that. The ICP works like a pressure gauge for the ECU which controls the IPR duty cycle. The last question would best be answered by an injector guru and what other mods have been done.
Who's tunes are you running? Is it a standard or modified HPOP? Does your pressure spike up and level off down around 2,600 psi, or do you max out there at WOT?
Then I'd say give Jody a call and let him know what's going on. I'll bet he says he should reburn it to call for more ICP unless you ordered the no-codes tunes and he's trying to keep from tripping a P1211.
Yep like chris said call jody and he will probably want to reburn it. with only 42% dc and holding 2600 psi and no cel means he's only calling for 2600 because the 15° pump couldn't handle 3200 with stage twos and you would have a constant check engine light

Chris, I'm tripping 1211 all the time, can you explain to me what you mean? I read it a couple of times and trying to understand. I'm hitting 3200 with duty cycle in the 40's. The funny thing is that I'm doing it most of the time NOT at WOT?
I think solving the P1211 can only go so far when you start swapping turbos and injectors. What kind of situation are you tripping the code Glenn? Usually it starts when duty cycle goes over 50% or so.
Since your issue isn't happening at WOT, I'd check other places or watch for any sudden spikes or dips in ICP. How's your fuel pressure? It's not dropping off is it?
My statement wasn't entirely true Chris. I'll trip it when, for example, I'm pulling at 65mph and hit a small hill. I'll be in cruise and it will pour on the coal to maintain 65.That could be WOT, hard to tell when in cruise, LOL. That's when I usually will have the 1211 show up. I don't think I get over 50 duty cycle but will have to check for sure. The adrenaline will give me spikes though, I keep hearing bad things about the adrenaline too. My fuel pressure is a constant 70psi, even at WOT (electric).
Talyn, so your saying that Tony's tunes 'should' have the ICP max at 2600? Last winter I had Tony reburn mine three times which equals three months. I'm on a trip now, I don't have time to go without a chip. On every tune he would do what I requested but screw something else up. Right now my chip is workable but a pain. Heavy tow will smoke out the freeway so I'm using low tow mode. The shift points were good when I sent it in the first time, got is back and they are way to low forcing me to use the OT button all the time. If I don't it shifts into 4th at 40mph!!! You can't pull 15K in 4th at 40mph. So, he fixed that and then screwed up my request for less smoke by giving me a chip with no power like stock. I ask for a chip with smoke (power) somewhere in between the smoky one and the no power one. I still have a lot of smoke and he lowered my shift points again. I'm done with Tony, I just don't understand. I explain everything on email, phone messages and his website. It's impossible to talk to him on the phone, very frustrating!!!!!! I'm done with TW, period. On this trip I'm having $200 fill ups and if I don't watch what I'm doing the $$$ go right out the tailpipe. I do have plenty of power but have to keep the rpm's up to keep the smoke down.
