led light question

I am planning on replacing the old style lights on my 28' gooseneck flat bed with led's and there are so many different kinds my tail lights are 4" round (there are 4 of them) I have seen as few as 8 bigger lights in them up to 32 little ones?? Anyone an expert on led's which ones would be better???

define "better"

you will need to find the 2-level setups as you will need them to work as both tail and brake lights...

That can be accomplished in different ways. One way simply turns more lights on for the brake light than the tail light. The other way uses different resistors for the brake and tail circuits... (less resistance = more current = more light emission from the LED)

Ok I never thought of that so the ones with eight lights are probably on all the time and get brighter when you hit the brakes and the ones with 32 will have 16 on for tail lights and all 32 for brakes. is one any better than the other, as in brighter longer lasting looks the best. What are your guys personal preferences?

I put 4" round LED's on my 30' trailer and all I had to do was change out the plugs. I installed lights I got from a truck stop. They have 44 LED's them. I didn't like the 8 LED lights. The more LED's the better it will look.
