Unless you are prepared to put the truck out of service for a couple days and are pretty proficient mechanically, I would say to hand it to a shop you trust.
Are you certain its a RMS?........Several other oil leak locations can mimic a bad RMS.
Forums like this are not the place to ask for help as you can see from the answer you got above, they either tell you to take it to a mechanic ( great help) or most simply do not reply to the request.

And your answer was SO much more helpful.............why don't you yank out the Chilton shop manual and break it down for him step by step starting with "Remove negative battery cable".
BigBlue92, I found some info a while back, with a complete write-up on this. I will try and locate it for you. there is a bit of work involved and if you have sometime for the truck to be down, it can be done. You definately want to weigh options on this, since it's very lengthy. You're best bet is to have a very smooth flat surface to work on if you attemp this and a tranny jack, and perhaps an extra jack.
I will look a little later and try to locate the write-up for you. If you want, you can browse for threads/posts using the search feature for my member name, and I'm sure you will find it.
BigBlue92, I know what your going through, my lovely 5.8L is starting to have a small leak at the RMS as well. I'm about to replace this as well so your not alone. lol
Thanks Hotshot869! I knew that I have it listed under one of the Posts/Threads concerning this in my subscribed threads, but had not looked for it yet. I have it bookmarked on another computer of mine, not the one I generally use for checking FTE.
I'm sure BigBlue92 will appreciate the link and the help!
