Hi" HELP
Am looking for some information on installing a vacuum line in a 09 LXT : If you have done this did you tap the sourse at the brake booster port and how did you get thru the fire wall with out running into everything ? I was planning on mounting a gauge by the drivers side pillar. Any ideas?

Reason: lack of response
If you pull the carpet sill from the floor, on the drivers side(or passenger) there is a rubber plug in the wiring channel (top of rocker panel). You could either take it out or drill a hole in the plug, for the vacuum hose to run through. It would be a long run though. I used this method to run wire for some lights on my truck. Hope this helps. NorminN.B.
On my '01 E-350;
I went to the parts store and got a "Tee" fitting.
Installed it in the vacuum line that ran across the firewall in the engine compartment.
I then ran the hard nylon vacuum line ( that came with the gauge ) through the wall at one of the wiring bundles.
Middle gauge is Autometer Z Series vacuum gauge.

Hi"
First thank you for trying to help but That might work on the models before the 09. I ran one set up on my 05 and the whole thing including the vacuum line and port and Firewall are different. The 05 had the -2 Eng and the 09 has the -3 Eng but they buried the vacuum line and only exposed the master line to the brake booster where they installed a port as for the firewall what can I say I do not want to get into any thing going thru it that I shouldn't
Still looking for help installing a vacuum line to the cab.1 where can I tap the vacuum line other than the one going to the brake booster and 2 where can I get thru the firewall. This installation is on an 09 XLT with a 4.6-3 Eng.
