Trailer wiring issue?? Help!!!

Ok, I just bought a brand new 2011 ecoboost F150 FX4 with tow package (TBC, 7 pin etc..). My interior trailer lights would not work when connected to it and truck running (or off). My electric trailer jack would not work either. Now, if I hooked up my wife's toyota everything worked just fine. My local Ford dealer was clueless and wanted me to drop it off for a few days.

SOLUTION:
There were two items that were in the glove box a pink fuse and a black relay. They go under the hood in position #9 & #21. Fixed!!!!!!!!

Thanks.
That is fairly common knowledge and posted about quite a bit around the forums. if your dealer didn't know that by now you need to hunt another dealership for your service work.

Oh BTW, it is a fuse and a relay, not two fuses.

This applies 12V to your RV and or the electronic trailer brake away controller to keep its battery charged.

look in your fuse panel spot 9 is a relay spot 21 is a 30 amp fuse if there not there then that is your problem and the fuse has to be the real short one or lid will hit it good luck

Yeah, I know! I was just keeping it simple (black relay #9 and pink fuse #21) just in-case someone else had the same issue. I read the entire manual and those fuse/relays were not mentioned. I read the tow section and the fuse charts. I checked the plug but what threw me off was the turn signals and running lights were working just fine. I thought I had a factory defected truck. lol
