Also my truck has the 5.0 in it and i would like it to be similar in H.P. but more torque for towing. I am just trying to find out how hard this will be and what trans and adapter is needed to make it work.

There is an available adapter for the 4BT to Ford trans. (or chevy, or dodge)
Just look a little, its there.
If it is necessary to change to the ZF trans, it is much stronger and will bolt into your truck.
Your 5.0 is probably getting about 185-200 HP and about 265 lb-ft torque stock, whereas a 4BT will produce about 130 HP and about 355 lb-ft torque. You can employ the usual tricks (different turbo, add intercooling, turn up injection pump) to get the horsepower up to what you're accustomed to, though to be honest I'd be happy with just a 33% increase in torque.
The other thing to keep in mind is a 4b will weigh about 270 lbs more than a stock Ford 5.0.
You can get a 4BT with an adapter to fit up to a Ford small block bellhousing. They were used as replacement engines in bread trucks and other step vans that originally came with either Ford 300-6 or Chevy small block v8 engines. Check out the forums over at 4btswaps.com, they can get you all the info you need.
