HELP!!!!! Just got out of the woods...Broke some stuff!!!!

Ok to start with my last thread here was talking about how i almost got stuck in my X. Well after everyone's thoughts I went into my back woods to work on my skills.. The 4 WD worked great I must say..NO I WAS NOT DRIVING CRAZY if you must ask... maybe3 to5 mph.... I saw a pine fire break and thought it would be a great trail to drive down... yes its 9:22PM right now and yes I just got back in.....Well even with the lift on my truck I still found a few pine stumps as seen in the photos...I killed the front stabilizer, oh well but what killed me was i guess my rear pumpkin hit a stump and my drive shaft came out....well i didn't panic and a bungee corded it up so I would not hit the ground and I drove the truck all the way out of the trail and home in reverse.... I think what really went wrong here is that when my truck was lifted nobody told me to have the drive shaft lengthened....Here are some photos and i need some help in what I need to fix this...also what size are the bolts that hold the yoke and shaft on??? I cant figure it out??? HELP PLEASE!!!!!

1mile max. New housing development and I just went behind the house to the field and into the woods for testing.... Now driving out of the trail in reverse in the dark was hard.

What was the point of driving in reverse? Why not forward?

It's going to be a matter of lengthening the shaft or re-arranging the bango (moving it forward). Maybe someone who has done the same lift will chime in. Physics will tell you that when the bango goes straight down the shaft will pull out out the spline. Imagine a 5 foot lift; the shaft wouldn't even reach the female spline. You can't just stick it back in and drive it.

Rubicon Express made a steering stabilizer relocation kit that moves the stabilizer to a less vulnerable location. A little way down this link has an image of the relocation kit installed.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...9-f250-sd.html

I have used it for a few years without damage.

It's kind of difficult to drive when you can't make right turns, isn't it??

Regarding the driveshaft, you must have quite the lift on it! I'd be curious to see what the angle is at the rear u joint. Anyway, find a driveshaft shop and take it in there. Check your motor mounts too!

A 12 point end wrench works on those driveline flange bolts. 12mm if I remember correctly.

I'm sorry, but if I were to do a root cause analysis, I don't think I'd come to the same conclusion.

What are you missing? While I do feel bad for your situation, you apparently are missing an average comprehension of the geometric changes imparted on the underpinnings of a truck when installing a lift kit.
