Lug nuts breaking
#16
I've seen it before with aftermarket wheels. The Super Duty's switched to a hub centric design and while the bolt pattern is a hair different, I believe the SD wheels will slide on. Lug centric nuts will bottom out before the hubcentric wheel gets tight so they work loose. The hubcentric lug nuts have a flat washer instead of the tapered nose design.

ya well i am not realy sure but i have never eplaced them before we just uzsed the old ones when we did the rotor. i tightened them up real tight yesterday and they have not loosened yet so we will see, anyone know how long it will take to take the whole assembaly off "hubs, calipers ect" i am going to take it apart soon. I am going to do it so i know it gets done right. Also i had some one tell me that my front bearing are to tight becuase the passenger side wheel is a little warmer then the driver side and the passenger side is the side i am haveing the problems with. could this be the problem or a contributing facter??

Those are lug centric nuts. When you place the wheel on the hub, does the center of the wheel fit tight around a ring on the hub or is there slop in there. Hub centric means the wheel fits snug on the hub and the hub is what centers the wheel on the axle. You've usually got to kick or beat the tire a bit to get the wheel off the hub after the lug nuts are removed (unless it's loose like in your case.)
Lug centric means the tapered portion of the lug nut is what actually centers the wheel on the studs.
