? on dash knob
my truck, which is the most basic, no-frills, standard issue has a **** with the words "Pull for Heat". the one i got today says "Pull for Defrost".
is there a difference (besides the obvious word usage)? i'm wondering if i'm missing a dedicated window defroster. i didn't take notice of the heater unit from the wrecking yard, at the time. perhaps it's just an inconsequential word change.
just wondering....

I cannot find this "Pull for Defrost" bezel listed for anything, except the following:
B7C-10852-G .. Dash Bezel ~ "Pull for Defrost" / Use with re-circulating heater.
Applications: 1957/60 B/F/T100/1100 / 1957/72 C500/1100 (C Series Tilt Cab).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
C5TZ-18598-A .. Dash Bezel / Use with Economy Heater.
This bezel is used with the dash mounted heater cable/blower switch used with the economy heater.
Applications: 1965/66 F100/1100 / 1965/68 N/NT/T500/1100 / 1967/68 F500/750 / 1969/74 Econoline.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C1TF-18598-A .. Dash Bezel-Use with Deluxe Fresh Air Heater.
This dash mounted bezel is used with the deluxe heater cable/blower switch. The Deluxe fresh air heater has two additional cables that mount under the dash to a bracket to the right of the steering column.
One cable opens/closes the heater water valve. The other opens/closes the damper door that allows fresh air to flow into the heater's plenum chamber.
Applications: 1961/64 F100/1100 / 1961/67 Econoline / 1963/66 N/NT/T500/1100 / 1965/66 F100/1100.
Since all heaters were extra cost options thru 1966, peeps would go to junkyards, remove heaters from other trucks, then retrofit them into their trucks.
