well everyone today i was going up a hill empty and my tranny slipped going from 2'd to 3'd i think.........when i bought truck guy said tranny had been replaced. checked my tranny fluid, its full and dosent smell burnt. what should i be looking for or checking? and what can i do to fix it? all my truck info is in my profile....thanks everyone
also how do i know if the tranny has been replaced? was the guy just bs me?...that'd be just my luck, i noticed uit shifting harder progressivly, but for a 92 i expected it......please some advise people i feel my hair getting greyer over this

If you do have an E4OD then it is well worth checking for trouble codes.
Pulling the pan does seem a little overkill to just add some Lucas, maybe a long thin piece of tubing down into the dipstick to siphon some out? Wouldn't take much... I get to do the same thing pretty soon so let me know what ends up working best for you if you don't mind. Thanks.
