Well, I tried parting it out, sold the transmission and transfer case, cried a little, and took it all off craigslist. I have become so attached to this project. I bought a 78 super cab 4x4 to replace this one. I may put the 400 in it, (already has a good running modified) my dad has always wanted a bad *** diesel, so I am going to give it to him and let him finish... The doors and hood will be put on, and the truck will be moved. Our 65 fairlane will take its spot in the garage. As of now, this project is done.

 

Pulled the truck out of the garage the other day... Sad to see it go, but I have a new plan of action. I bought an '85 f250 4x4 sterling 10.25 rear, dana 44 front, 4.10 with limited slip, 460 with a 4 speed. It has a 2 inch lift with 35" tires on it. The truck is a beast. My plan is, to take the rusty body off the the 85, and use the good body off the 80 and make that one the project. I can use most of my new parts on the 85, and still have a strong running truck at the end of the day!
