$140?!?! The one for my '03 was like $62 at the dealership.
I just checked on partsguyed.com, and your dealership either mis-quoted you or they're including labor. The highest cost version, with steering wheel audio controls, lists for $99. The one w/o steering wheel controls, but with cruise control lists for $91. Ed beats those prices by about $15.

So, called them back and it is $140 for just the part called another Ford dealer about 10 miles away from that one and it's $90 looks like I'll go there.

I kind of think that guy just didn't know what he was talking about because I checked the fordparts.com website and checked the price at that dealer and it's the same as everyone else in the area... oh well. I'll get it tomorrow from the other place. Then hopefully get my red-head steering gear on and my truck drivable again.
