I've done some searches here and managed to confuse/scare myself. I have a 2000 eddie bauer 4x4 5.4 the build date is 11/99.
What are my plug issues, the plugs that break off or the heads that the threads come out of? Or just the rear ones being very hard to get to. I read a very long post on how to change the plugs that was very good. What am I not thinking of that I should be?
You have the plugs with just a few threads to screw into that sometimes strip out the cylinder head. You don't have the newer style long ones that break off leaving 1/2 of the plug in the head. They are easy to change (although a bear to get to on the rear of the motor). Just remove the coil packs, loosen the fuel rail, take your time, put anti-seize on the threads before you put them back in and you shouldn't have any problems.
