Got started on installing my JBA SS shorties yesterday. Managed to remove 15 of 16 manifold bolts without drama. The head of one did torque off, but left enough to become a stud.
Barry you would not have seen much progress. A friend stopped by yesterday after lunch with his welder and got the bed fixed. No excuse now for me not to get her finished. Met a lady at Church last night that was at Memorial Service with you all. Her maiden name was Betty Higgimbottom. Guess what due to my young age, I could not remember who your wife was in her teenage years. Pray all of you have a great day. Harley
Harley, My wife knows Betty, they went to school together and I did get to meet her Sunday, and she knows my cousin Alan, she lives just up the road from him. Oh and Lamenda's maiden name is Alford.
Small world. Betty is coming to our Church on Wednesday nights in that they do not have service at Mashulville except on Sunday. I have saved the info so I will not forget it and will let her know Wednesday night. Thanks. Harley
Goodmorning all! Those of you down in the brookhaven area lost an excellent Fabricater/Builder and good friend of mine yesterday. Please use jackstands!
Good Morning to you all. I just ran out of coverup goola (bondo). The first I bought was Kitty Hair ($13.00 for small container). Then I got the last at NAPA ($49.00 for a gal). I checked at O'Relly yesterday and they have a gal for $21.00. Question, Do you get what you pay for or are they all about the same? Harley
Happy FRIDAY guys!!!!!
Hope you all have a great weekend!
I am going to start turning wrenches on the old 86 this weekend. Go to get the tranny rebuilt and the ole 6.9 running again.
I have found a good steel flat bed here at the yard, but can't decide if I want to take the aluminum bed my dad and I built off or not. All it needs is a headacherack but that will have to be custom fabbed, I just can't decide.
Oh well....there is always time to figure that stuff out....
