People who come out from the big city, with little real knowledge of the terrain and a GPS for a guide, are going to be feeding the wilderness critters............I think they call it the "circle of life".
I always try to include a local in a outing in unfamiliar country.
We hear the same story over & over, they were using a GPS or whatever & got lost.
It amazes me how far people will go off the beaten track until they get lost, wow thats
scarry.
People rely on those things to much & they forget about common sense.........
Happens here in Vermont. We have a handful of mountain passes that Are closed in the winter. Usually the towns will put up a sign that basically says if GPS says this way, turn around, its an expensive tow out. A number of class 4 roads are closed in the winter and used as snowmobile trails, but still get some idiots who will drive up them until they get stuck.
