It's supposed to start raining and cooling down around here starting tomorrow. Although my garden could use the rain, those who have had their houses destroyed or roofs blown off in the tornadoes could use some more dry weather. Clean up is going to take months. A couple houses a block over were crushed by some trees....not sure if they are going to be salvageable. They have found some more bodies today and raised the death toll.
I want to thank everyone who sent along prayers and good wishes through the tornadoes. We were extremely fortunate. The insurance company verified today that they are replacing both my computers and surge-protecting cords(which didn't do much good, actually) as well as sending a check that will replace about 1/3 of the food items. I think they were very helpful and worked to make sure that my losses were taken care of the best they could. Keep sending donations to the TENNESSEE Red Cross....tornado victims are still without homes/possessions and now flood victims will need assistance on the other end of the state.
Yeah I just saw a convoy of Red cross vehicles coming past the Naval Base yesterday. I am sure they are on the way to dyersberg since that city is almost a total loss.
