In the days gone by there were drum brakes with the emergency / parking brake.
Now with rear disc brakes, my van only has a 'parking' brake that actuates dedicated thinly lined tiny shoes in their own drum within the disc rotor.
And for the 450's the parking brake unit is on the drive shaft at the back of the transmission.
Interesting, from what I gather the linings are so thin that just driving away with the parking break set will scrub them down to bare metal in short order.
Good thing I never attempted any parking brake enabled hot-shot maneuvers.
I was reading through the forum for insight as to how to adjust my parking brake, which turns out to be the same as adjusting any drum brake.
If anyone spots a Millermatic 252 MIG welder for sale for way less than it ought to be let me know. Some jackwagon stole ours. We're currently searching our paperwork collection to see if we can find a serial # (Yes dearest naysayer Aaron I know I'm ****ed with no serial # and very unlikely it'll come back even if we can find the #)
It's about a 2300$ item new and we took extremely good care of ours. Still had the stickers on it. No dents, no scratches, no burn marks. It was always covered by a movers blanket.
The deepest pits of hell are reserved for thieves and abusers.
son of a bitch pete. i hope they try to sell it for your sake! ill keep my eyes open.
We're fairly certain we know who stole it but obviously we can't prove it. (or they wouldn't be breathing)
Guy over the hill's kid (he's in his late 20s) is a drug addict who has been in and out of Cheshire Correctional for a while. And he was caught scrapping stuff he stole from his father not long ago.
