Just got up & had a missed call from an ex-coworker. He got his truck stuck down in the Spadra bottoms & wants me to come pull him out. I guess he doesnt remember I dont have a running 4x4 anymore. Cant decide if I want to blame it on driver error or the fact he runs chebbys, probably both.
It's amazing how much energy two 6 year-olds have at a church carnival; functioning only on Dr. Pepper & cotton candy. Then when they crash, they crash hard. It also proves where your "home" is. I'm only there 3-4 minutes tops and bumping to three different friends that I haven't seen in months. Another reason I need to keep looking for work closer to FSM instead of spending all of my time stuck in Carnage.

I think its more of the driver cause he got stuck down there a month or two back & another chebby & dodge got stuck trying to get him out & all 3 had to camp out until the next day.

Slow learner is a couple steps above of where he is. He took a semester of body work at one time so he thinks he knows all about trucks. Ive burned him on info (both techy & non-techy) at lunch. Even used his phone the last time to prove Interco made the 'Bogger' not Firestone.
Went and pulled the camper to the house (maybe needing it again at work before the week is over). Spent what seemed like 30 minutes trying to figure out why the hitch wouldn't open...apparently water has managed to get down into the mechanism. Got it working again so that I could "open" enough for the trailer ball, then fuss with it not wanting to latch back. Finally get all that worked out and the trailer on the ball only to find out that one side or the other of the electrical plug is corroded (no trailer brakes!). Get all that lined out, pulling the trailer back to with the Explorer (1k pounds under max recommend GVWR)...I quickly remember why we bought the Princess...trailer dragging queen. At 6k pound the camper is all over the Explorer like white on rice. It's not a huge deal to control it, but you'd better have your crap together. With the truck...you almost forget the trailer is there. Right now, it's a good thing we didn't buy that 5th wheel a couple of years ago that we were looking at...Explorers & 5th wheels don't play well together.
now if the levels at greers ferry would just drop about 15'.. we'd be good to go
Where at Greers do y'all normally normally spend your time? My grandmother was between Heber Springs & Eden Isle...I've spent many summers up there enjoying the lake.

Usually at Cove Creek near Quitman. To my knowledge its the only park that has a grass / dirt bank you can pull your boat up on.
Except maybe Old Hwy. 25 park, and that end of the lake is just too busy for us.

There are a couple in the Little Rock park area that's between Heber & Eden Isle...with the exception of holiday weekends; Little Rock park, along with most of the parks around Heber Springs they used to be rather clam. Though I haven't spent much time in that area in years. So I guess that information could be useless now.
