428 windsor????
428 windsor????
I've never heard of this, never seen a refferce to this, or even dreamt of one (lol). But according to both my grandfather, and my shop teacher (and no, they dont know each other and are playin a joke on me), they do exist. And apparently pretty rare. like more rare than super cobra jets... is there such a thing?
Not as an OEM engine. The 351W was it.
To make a 428, or 427--I didn't calculated based on overbore, you stroke the 351W.

I was under the impression that a Dart or other fine brand "sportsman" block had to be used when you got past 408. Maybe not.

I think they may be reffering to an old-school trick of off-set grinding a 400M crank, and it would come out with something around that size. Or some people would just turn down a 400M crank to have a 400W.
I know now the have a something like a 450+ci Windsor motors from world products now.
