throw out bearing

i have an 85 bronco 2 with a 5 speed trans the throw out bearing is going on it.can i drop the transmission with the transfer case still attached or am i going to have to take the transfer case off any advice would be appreciated

Mine is an 87 with a 2.9 FI and the Mitsubishi 5 speed and I just finished replacing my slave cylinder. I WAS able to get the tranny and diff out in one piece. Hope this helps. If yours has the 2.8 I don't know for sure, but on mine I know it is possible (not fun, but possible).

i didnt want to take the differential out with the tranny.I wanted to take the transfer case out still attached to the tranny.or is that what you ment....?
