EXHAUST SETUP
I HAVE A 07 SCREW 5.4 I'M WANTING TO DROP THE DIME ON THE EXHAUST BUT I'M NOT SURE ON WHAT SETUP I WANT OR THE SIZE. WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR IS A DEEP,MEAN SOUND WITH A LITTLE KACKLE WHEN I GET IN IT. I ALSO KNOW THAT I WANT DUALS STRAIGHT OUT THE REAR. I ALSO WANTED TO NO CAN U ELIMINATE THE 3RD CAT (if that makes since) I'VE SEEN IT HAS 3 OR AT LEAST IT LOOKS LIKE IT DOES. WITHOUT IT THROWING CODES OR CHANGING THE ENGINES PERFORMANCE. AND AFTER THE EXHAUST IS DONE I'M THINKING I'M GOING TO DROP THE DIME ON THE X3 TUNER AFTER I READ UP ON IT SOME MORE. HEY THANKS GUYS FOR THE INFO

There should only be two cats...one from each bank. The third cat-like item is likely the stock resonator.
As for which system to go with...that's a hard one to pinpoint. I've heard that the MBRP gas exhausts are pretty loud. The Cherry Bomb offerings apparently make some noise as well, although they are made from inferior materials.
Might want to look at someplace like SummitRacing that has a ton of options. Read some reviews, etc.

I highly recommend getting the X3 custom tunes from Mike @ 5 Star. I'm loving mine.

How about going to a local muffler shop and having a custom set-up made? I got one done for my Ram a few years ago for $230 or so. It's still doing well, the guy who bought from me put 40k on it and it has had no problems.
