Great wife. Take good care of her. Let us know how it comes out performance wise. Also how you like the new sound of the turbo.

This is my truck pulling my tractor or at least trying. It honestly does good from a dead stop it just has no top end. And this is with no chip, stock turbo, 4" exaust, and 6637. I'm anxious to see how it does with my up grades! I'm guessing the truck and trailer weigh between 24-28,000lbs!

My original turbo is pretty much scrap to me but may be gold to you. It will need a new shaft and possibly a compressor backing plate. I still have the original comp wheel and its in great shape. The ww is what was damaged. Up to you if your interested! The one I'm running is Ricks spare and thank God for that.

Thanks bulla. I'll see what I can find. I can probably find a used one and rebuild it I'm not sure what the parts for yours would be. God bless, Chet

So you are throwing more power on a engine that you found had low compression on a cylinder? I guess that will show up with a bigger problem in a while. Personally I would of picked a used engine in good shape. I'm sure you can re-use the parts you bought unless you have a major failure. Good luck bro....

I kinda thought the same way but since it was within 80% of the highest cylinder I was told it might last alittle while and then again it might go the first time I lay into with the new injectors and turbo. I guess I'll see. I do have plans to put another motor in it. I'm looking for a good block to start working on now. Not sure if I really trust myself building an engine but once I have it apart will see! Wort case I'll just pick up a long block from clay! It's not my daily driver and it's almost never absolutely needed so I can sit on it a while if something catastrophic does happen. Almost thought about just pulling the motor out and rebuilding what I've got after rre. Honestly if it makes it to rre that's all I'm asking. And if it doesn't I'll be driving up in our grand prix!!

I'm not an expert on this and have never pulled a 7.3 engine. Sounds like you have talked to some pros. I would just be concerned with damaging any new parts you got. I'll keep my eye out for a engine. Maybe just a head problem but don't have the experience on it

Pulling the engine is easy, it's just huge, requiring a smooth surface and a cherry picker to get the job done.

Well I got my housing back so now I'm just waiting on my tuner from Jody! Still haven't heard from Gary about my srp1. It's been 3 weeks today since ups confirmed he had received it. I'm gonna be real upset if I get it back and he says nothing was wrong with. 3 weeks for that! And then again if he is having to repair it I don't belive I want it. It would be nice if he would at least answer my call and let me know something!

That would be nice lol, a gravel lot and the massey ferguson sufice for me. I just lay a piece of plywood down for the jack to roll the trans back. I've got it down to about 3 1/2 hrs or so.

Alright fellas the turbo and injectors are in! Am I impressed, well not at first but I'm thinking as the air is working it's way out it's getting better! I do have a few questions for anyone with stage 1's and a 38R. In the stock tune built by Jody my truck actually seems slower and my icp never gets above 2500 psi on my mechanical gauge. In a tune though it will get up to 2800-3000psi. I don't have any dc numbers yet. And boost? I haven't seen over 25 lbs in my 80 tune. Maybe I won't? How's that sayin my pastor always uses,"Fault finders find fault!" guess I'm a fault finder! Haha
