Wipers gone crazy
I have a 2000 crew cab 4x4 diesel the delay wipers have a mind of there own. Regular hi and low work fine, the delay goes half way, waits the delay time, goes mabe 3/4 way, all random distances, it takes 3 mabe 4 moves to get across the window. Anyone else have this problem?? Any ideas how to fix it? Thank you any help would be great

Did you ever fix this problem? My truck is doing the same thing and it is driving me crazy. I have already replaced the wiper switch and switched the relays and that didnt fix it.
Any advice would help. Thanks

Yes problem is fixed and it was free. Ford has a recall on the wiper motor. Go to your ford dealer with your vin# and they will look it up for the recall. They replace the motor and it solves the problem.

When did they replace the motor under recall? Any idea what/which recall it was??
My motor is acting up, but when I plug the VIN# in it says it has no recalls. I'd LOVE to get it fixed for free.....for once!!!!
I recently had the tank straps go bad.....Ford had a recall for them.... of course MINE didn't fall under that one, either.

It seems on many of these recalls Ford only recalls the 250s and not the 350s. Not sure why, as they are essentially identical.
The tank straps one is a good example. Why would you recall all the 250s for bad/rusty straps but not 350s? They are the same parts!
