How does the engine run? Check to make sure you did not cross any of the wires when you did the tune up.

The engine runs strong for having almost 200,000 miles on her. Every so often something will break but I fix it. Im wonderin if the timing could be off?

We need more info here. What transmission, gears, and tire size are we dealing with here? Two or four-wheel drive? What type of driving do you do (city/hwy)? Do you regularly make short trips (10 miles or less)? When was the O2 sensor last changed? Any exhaust leaks?

the gears are stock ...two wheel drive on 31s which I no bigger tires less mpg but there not tht big. I mostly jus around town driving. There is an exhaust tick which I think is from the header cause there is 2 factory strips in the passenger side head. The o2 sensor is on my header because I have tooken the cats off.

There were a number of gear ratios available from the factory. City driving and short trips will hurt your mileage. The exhaust leak will effect the O2 reading, which will effect your mileage as well. The O2 sensor is fine in the collector of the header, but if you've never replaced it, it would be a good idea to do so.

Dual tanks or single? If it's dual do they both work? And If so do they both return the same MPG?

.. Hmm, my 96 does about 8.5-9 mpg when I hot rod around showing off exhaust, if I drive like a sensible person, (grandpa) I get 12-13.. Driving style effects these trucks (or mine) terribly..

Hmmm.....My dads' 92' XLT (302/5speed) gets EXACTLY the same MPG's as my truck (300/5speed).....

We both get 13-16 city-wise, and 18-20-ish highway...

Both are 2wd, longbed/standard cab,with 3.08 rear gears....

So yea....No one will EVER tell me that a 300 can't get as good as MPG as a 302, or vice-versa.....
